Overview

Aerojet Rocketdyne in Redmond, Washington develops and manufactures propulsion systems that are on a variety of spacecraft. We arecurrently seeking Sr. Production Control/Liaison to join our team in Redmond, Washington. You will be a part of our Scheduling and Material Planning team which networks across all departments and plays a key role from proposal to product delivery. We are looking for a highly analytical, self-motivated, and organized individual. Candidates will work in a dynamic position with a diverse product portfolio.

In our Redmond WA facility we fabricate, assemble, and test chemical and electric thrusters, as well as small scale propulsion systems. Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

Working under general supervision:

40% - Responsible for analyzing, planning, and monitoring material movement in production to ensure continuous operations. Coordinate with Planning, Scheduling and Operations to adjust production priorities and/or schedules to ensure on-time delivery.

20% - Analysis of inventory management; including Kanban, inventory discrepancies, and kit allocations. Develop process improvements for inventory management to meet business objectives.

20% - Provide communication, visual management, and metrics to integrate Operations, Scheduling, and Production Planning.

10% - Identify potential risks with production plan, analyze for root cause, and develop solutions.

10% - Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in a directly related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must have demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to plan, organize, coordinate, direct and control the activities of the assigned organization.

  • Prior Oracle/Delmia/Windchill experience preferred.

  • Willingness to learn Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) such as Delmia, ASCP, Oracle Enterprise Business Suite, etc.

Requires U.S. Citizenship or status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

The work environment may require a combination of indoor and outdoor activity (hot, cold, wet, humid conditions) with a varied amount of walking, standing, sitting, climbing (i.e. ladders, stair, scaffolding, ramps), balance (maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces), bending, reaching, handling/fingering (seizing, holding, grasping, turning picking, pinching), stooping, kneeling, crouching and ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, employees may work around variable noise levels. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. May also be required to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer. Ability to distinguish colors may also be necessary. Some employees may be required to drive between various locations within the Company facility or between locations. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.

Pay range for this position:

69,500 - 102,166 per year
