We are seeking an experienced Manager, Finance- Space Programs to joinour Business Operations team in supporting rocket engine development & manufacturing in Redmond, WA.

You will have a chance to use your financial acumen to lead a portfolio of space programs.

In this hands-on role you will provide financial leadership and partner with other leaders in the company to drive the Space Systems business unit to achieve their financial goals. This role will provide critical financial analysis to influence strategic decisions at the program level, as well as the executive leadership level. A successful candidate will also apply their leadership qualities to help mentor and guide a team of financial analysts.

This position may be filled at this level or one level higher.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

  • 50% - Lead a passionate team of individual contributors in their support of financial forecasting, variance analysis, and EAC development. Facilitate improvements to overall processes and tools that the team is using. Establish clear team and individual goals and performance metrics. Support the career development and skills growth of team members.

  • 30% - Analyze data to support the accuracy of financial forecasts and measure the business units financial health. Lead the Annual Operating Plan development, and track performance throughout the year to: revenue, profitability, and cash targets.

  • 10% - Partner with program management, engineering, operations, and other teams to review financial data. Ensure alignment across organizations.

  • 5% - Support proposal pricing, fact finding, and contract negotiations with customers. Provide assessments on risk, and help provide overall strategy to price and profit targets.

  • 5% - Support Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting and processes. Support program controls, and assists program teams in execution.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and7+ years of experience in an accounting, finance, or business role

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience with finance in a federal contractor environment, including aerospace & defense, manufacturing, and research & development.

  • Progressive people management experience

  • Experience coaching and mentoring

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, and general modeling experience

  • Familiarity with reporting, visualization, intelligence, and analysis tools

  • Strong Presentation skills with the ability to regularly interface with executive management

  • Experience with presenting analytical results in both verbal and written form across a multi-disciplinary organization

  • Ability to frame unstructured and complex analytical problems to a broad audience.

  • MBA or Master’s Degree

Requires U.S. Citizenship or status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.

Pay range for this position:

100,000 - 147,333 per year
