We are seeking an Calibration Supervisor to work at Redmond, WA location. Work schedule will be driven by unit operation requirements. Applicants may be assigned to work alternative work schedules such as 9/80, 4/10, 3/12, 5/8, etc.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

The Calibration Supervisor will work under minimal supervision to perform a wide variety of highly complex inspection and quality assurance tasks to produce high-quality products. Typical tasks include but are not limited to:

60% - Calibrations – manage and coordinate to ensure calibration requirements for measuring are maintained to meet regulatory, industry and enterprise standards

20% - Compliance – manage and coordinate to ensure AS9100 compliance requirements are met by the site

10% - Work Flow - daily program and process tactical planning with peer operation managers to achieve value stream workflow efficiencies

5% - resources allocation, budgeting, staffing and personnel skill assessment and development

5% - daily interface with quality and operation integrators on programmatic schedule and delivery planning

Directly supervises hourly employees performing quality inspection duties:

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

Requires a Bachelor's degreeand 5 (five) years of progressive experience.

  • Well versed in the requirements of ANSI/NCSLi Z540-1 and AS9100. Familiarity with the requirements of ANSI/Z540.3 and ISO17025.

  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to operate in a team environment.

  • Computer skills sufficient to generate reports and analyze data using MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word software.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a close-knit team environment; highly motivated team player.

  • Ability to analyze, evaluate and develop solutions to a variety of situations.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience leading a team is desirable

  • Ability to read and interpret electronic test equipment specification

  • Strong background concerning the usage and care of precision measuring equipment and calibration standards

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

Employees must possess the mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit or stand and maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require occasional walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.

The work environment may also require a combination of indoor and outdoor activity (hot, cold, wet, humid conditions) with a varied amount of walking, standing, sitting, climbing (i.e. ladders, stair, scaffolding, ramps), balance (maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces), bending, reaching, handling/fingering (seizing, holding, grasping, turning, picking, pinching), stooping, kneeling, crouching. While performing the duties of this job, employees may work around variable noise levels or with fumes or airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, etc. requiring the use of personal protective equipment such as face protection (safety glasses, goggles, face shield), foot protection (i.e. steel toed shoes, rubber boots, etc.), gloves, hard hat, shop coat or hearing protection. Work requires the ability to change into or out of personal protective equipment when entering or exiting manufacturing, laboratory, or other areas. This position may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization. Depending on the location of the position, visual certification requirement may apply.

Requires U.S. Citizenship or status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

Pay range for this position:

69,500 - 102,166 per year
