Aerojet Rocketdyne is seeking an Analyst, Materiel Program Manager (MPM) to join our team in Redmond, WA.
MPMs provide Supply Chain/Materiel Management (SC/MM) representation and leadership in support of Business Unit and Business Development activities. They are responsible for effectively leading the SC/MM functional organization to integrate strategies, plans, and processes into the Program Management plan.
MPM's work directly with Program Management and act as the primary customer contact for the Supply Chain portion of program activities. The Material Program Managers lead SC/MM and cross functional personnel in the identification and mitigation of risks, establishment of milestone, monitoring and adherence to integrated master plans and schedules, and identification and resolution of problems on assigned programs.
MPM's administer the supplier base monitoring supplier quality and delivery performance for early identification of problem areas and develop/coordinate viable solutions. The MPMs are responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of assigned programs; the development of proposals including Priced Bills of Material and direct labor, support negotiations of contracts, coordination of SC/MM activities and management of program budgets. They may participate or lead program review sessions with customers and discuss supply chain cost, schedule, and technical performance; act as the primary interface to management for the execution of assigned programs.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)
30% - Manages material sales to Annual Operating Plan (AOP), manages performance to plan, communicated variances, risks and opportunities and develops plans to meet material sales objectives
30% - Manages the Supply Chain aspect of Defense/Space programs of moderate size, risk, and complexity. May contribute simultaneously to several programs. Provide the primary operating unit interface with the internal customers. Support all procurement material management activities, and lead the interface with program management in the resolution of technical, cost, schedule, and quality assurance problems. Manage program bill of material budgets in assigned areas, negotiate additional funds when required and escalate cost variances.
10% - Represents procurement on the Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and interface cross functionally in the resolution of material problems or other material related issues. Leads procurement and cross functional personnel in the identification and resolution of material problems on all programs.
15% - Manages the supplier base monitoring supplier quality and delivery performance for early identification of problem areas. Teams with buying personnel in conducting supplier surveys/evaluations, resolutions to Terms and Conditions exceptions and provide contract closure support. Provide support for supplier alliances, supplier teaming and other critical strategic supplier decisions.
15% - Acts as Lead Supply Chain/Materiel Management representative for new business proposals. Develops material pricing strategies for new business proposals, prepares Subcontract Management Plans as part of proposal submittals. Leads proposal support and team with buyers and proposal analysts for pricing strategies and source development. Prepares thorough estimates and plans for resources that are required to manage the supply chain management scope of the program. Analyzes suppliers proposals and assists with developing win strategies.
Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and three (3) years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Requirements:
Demonstrated skill in establishing and integrating strategies, goals and objectives and directing resources, including the ability to plan and coordinate the activities of assigned organizations and programs.
Ability to provide administrative leadership to accomplish organizational goals and commitments.
Frequent travel to suppliers may be required.
Competency in MS Office Suite products.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certifications in areas such as Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Program Management, Purchasing Management, Production and Inventory Control, etc. are not mandatory but highly desired.
Experience in Government (FAR) & Commercial Contracting, Legal and Regulatory Requirements.
Knowledge of Earned Value Management.
Knowledge of 6 Sigma and Lean Practices.
Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit or stand and maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require occasional walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
Pay range for this position:
60,500 - 84,500 per year
