Aerojet Rocketdyne Coleman Aerospace in Orlando, Florida is seeking a Sr. Subcontracts Administrator .
We are looking for a diverse, motivated, flexible and experienced candidate who has demonstrated success managing subcontracts including services and complex Aerospace or Department of Defense components.
The team member we seek knows how to manage suppliers through a full production program.
In this role, you will be negotiating/managing subcontractors, analyzing supplier proposals, performing price/cost analysis, creating and maintaining CPSR compliant procurement files, supporting proposals, solving procurement roadblocks, reporting status to upper management and the customer, and making independent decisions that lead to program successes.In addition, you will work with multiple functional departments and will have high visibility within the organization. This is an exciting opportunity to manage complex subcontracts in support of national defense with the ability to make an immediate impact on the business.
AR Coleman Aerospace produces complex single, two, and three stage launch vehicles used to support ballistic missile defense testing.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)
The successful candidate will perform all subcontract duties related to the procurement of goods and services as required.
50% - Generation of Requests for Proposals, Proposal Evaluation, Source Selection, Negotiations, File Documentation, etc. within scope of authority.
15% - Analyzes requirements for sourcing.
15% - Develops new vendors as appropriate.
10% - Monitors Subcontract performance – ensuring our suppliers are compliant with the requirements (i.e. schedule, delivery, pricing and quality).
5% - Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of issue and takes corrective action.
5% - Approves and submits invoices for payment.
Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business or related discipline and at least six (6) years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
Additional Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:
Must have at least three (3) years of experience with DOD programs.
Must be able to travel as needed -15% of the time
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of company and supplier management.
Ability to calculate amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and recommend/implement corrective actions.Knowledge of FAR/DFARS is mandatory.
Must be able to work effectively independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Deltek Costpoint experience desired.
Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit or stand and maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require occasional walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. The work environment may require a combination of indoor and outdoor activity (hot, cold, wet, humid conditions). While performing the duties of this job, employees may work around variable noise levels. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. May also be required to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer. Ability to distinguish colors may also be necessary. Some employees may be required to drive between various locations within the Company facility or between locations. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
