The candidate will work in the Engineering Aero Thermal Fluids group at our West Palm Beach, FL site.
Under supervision of senior engineering staff, perform Heat Transfer and Fluid Dynamics analysis of liquid rocket propulsion systems and related components.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)
80% - Perform thermal and fluid dynamics analysis of liquid rocket propulsion systems and components under supervision of senior engineering staff. Emphasis will be on analysis requiring knowledge of Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, and Computational Fluid Dynamics. Prepare analysis models, conduct analysis, and review analysis results with the senior analysts. Assist in reducing engine test data to validate results of analysis models.
10% - Support verification tests of propulsion systems and components. Work with designers and project engineer to provide analysis support.
10% - Produce analysis reports and test reports, and present analysis results to both internal and external customers.
Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering plus two years of experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. A Master's degree is strongly preferred. Coursework in Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, and Fluid Dynamics is required. Strong academic track record of success.
Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit or stand and maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require occasional walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
