We are seeking a Supervisor, Scheduling and Material Planning for the Production Control Liaison team, located at our facility in Camden, AR.

The Superviso r leads a team of 8-10 salaried direct reports, and is responsible for implementation and continuous improvement of all Liaison business processes to enable on-time manufacturing execution. The Liaison team provides support during experimental, development, qual, and production phases of product life cycle and across all fabrication, assembly, and test work areas.

The Supervisor is a dynamic role, partnering with Production Scheduling, Material Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Factory Operations, and Program Integrated-Product Team leaders to identify, prioritize, and resolve constraints to factory work in process (WIP) and planned order release. The position is a direct report to the Manager, Production Control and is a part of the site's Scheduling and Material Planning (SMP) functional organization.

This is a first shift on-site position with a start time of 7:00am.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

35% - Lead team to status and expedite Work in Process (WIP) through the factory:

Participate in daily factory production status meetings & lead team to provide status of shop order, operations in process, and constraints along hardware critical path

Partner with production scheduling to ensure closed-loop process for incorporating WIP status into work center dispatch (prioritization) lists

Steer Liaison team to coordinate & prioritize required support resources to resolve hardware constraints; Lead reporting on hardware constraint processing (backlog, aging, impact to critical path)

Manage team to identify & raise visibility to stalled (open & aging) shop orders to ensure resources are coordinated to resolve

Manage team to facilitate processing of material replenishment / material move orders

25% - Planned order release & shop order readiness:

Partner with Material Planning to lead site's 'Readiness Review' process to identify 'Readiness' (non-material) constraints to on-time release of Planned orders to the shop, including production support items such as tooling, shop aids, processing parameters, mfg work instructions

Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Production Scheduling, and Logisitics to lead teams to utilize source data system and reporting solutions to look ahead along hardware critical path and ensure production support items are on hand and ready when needed for operation on-time start

20%- Lead continous process improvement initiatives:

Develops and implements standard work to document best practices and lessons learned

Partners with Production Scheduling, Logistics, Material Planning management peers to foster process alignment & optimize operational efficiency

20% - Employee Leadership & Skills Management:

Partners with Program leadership to manage the deployment and critical skills of Liaison resources to support hardware natural work teams

Coaches, guides employees to develop; performs personnel performance evaluations in accordance with Company policies and procedures.

Provides effective leadership, direction and team building to efficiently accomplish assigned work.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and five (5) years of progressive experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to plan, organize, coordinate, direct and control the activities of the assigned organization. In addition, this position requires knowledge and experience working Production Control, Shop Operations, and experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and with electronic Manufacturing Execution Systems.

The successful leader will be a hands-on leader working with his/her team on a daily basis. It is essential for any candidate to be a leader of corporate initiatives promoting safety, diversity, ethical behavior, increased employee engagement and career development. This position requires a high level of proficiency and communication. Experience working in a cross functional environment with minimal direct supervision is essential.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

The work environment may require a combination of indoor and outdoor activity (hot, cold, wet, humid conditions) with a varied amount of walking, standing, sitting, climbing (i.e. ladders, stair, scaffolding, ramps), balance (maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces), bending, reaching, handling/fingering (seizing, holding, grasping, turning picking, pinching), stooping, kneeling, crouching and ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, employees may work around variable noise levels. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safetyglasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. May also be required to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer. Ability to distinguish colors may also be necessary. Some employees may be required to drive between various locations within the Company facility or between locations. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
